C18 Progress Shot 3

I've had this piece in the back burner for a looong time, and really didn't want to show any progress of it until it was complete. Usually I put up WIP only to take them down later, hopefully I'll just leave this one up. Well, I usually put alot on my plate whenever I tackle a project, and this is no exception. This piece is actually an upgraded version of "Ladies..." or "Silly Straw" which was really just a sketch anyways.

I like lines. Period. I've spent countless hours trying to color this piece only to fail each and every time. Its very frustrating acknowledging to yourself that you can't paint worth a shit. Its even more frustrating whenever you just goof around for 2 minutes painting something only to find that it looks better than the hours you spent trying to paint it originally. Case in point THIS WIP. I like how the paint looks. Suuure he looks orange. But its a step somewhere. I'll probably end up repainting it again.
